Now Hiring: Six Flags Has Thousands of Openings for Seasonal Workers
Now is the time to apply for the thousands of jobs opening for the spring/summer rush at Six Flags theme parks. In Springfield, Mass., alone they're taking on more than 2,500 seasonal workers, for duties beginning April 16.
There are jobs for entertainers, ride operators, concessions workers, maintenance crews, tour guides, landscape workers, retail sales people, water park lifeguards, even superheroes -- the list goes on and on. There are corporate internships, as well as jobs in the finance department, and of course, in the security department.
Job fairs are being held at parks in various locations across the country, but if you missed the one in your area, you can still apply online. But why not download an application and run it down to your local park? Don't forget to call first, however, to make sure they're open.
These are not the most lucrative jobs on the planet, but they're perfect for a high school or college student who wants to make some extra cash during the summer. Wages at most parks range between $8 and $10 per hour. Perks include free admission for you and a friend, in-house discounts, plus referral and spot bonuses and scholarship possibilities. Some workers even get health benefits. There are also fun employee events, and rewards and recognitions programs.
Six Flags jobs are not just for students. Teachers and coaches on their summer breaks are encouraged to apply, as are senior citizens looking to supplement their retirement incomes.
With 17 parks in 10 states, there are plenty of opportunities, but you'd better act quickly -- jobs are filling up fast. Visit sixflagsjobs.com for more information.
