Airlines Put Europe on Sale for Spring
Several airlines have announced spring ticket sales to Europe with roundtrip prices under $500, meaning travelers looking to get to London for the Royal Wedding or visit the Netherlands in time to see the tulips bloom may still be able to snag a deal.
Delta Air Lines is kicking off new trans-Atlantic routes with discounted tickets to London and the Netherlands with discounted fares. Seats to London from Boston, Jacksonville, Orlando and Tampa are on sale for $438 roundtrip, while Miami to the Netherlands is up for grabs for as low as $638. Service from Miami and Boston on the airline doesn't begin until March 26, and tickets must be purchased before March 31. Some blackout days do apply.
Yesterday, British Airways announced a global sale that offers roundtrip flights to Europe for as low as $420. Part of "The World on Sale" promotion, the deal doesn't last long: all trips must be booked by March 17 at midnight (EST) and the sale is only valid for the rest of March and April.
American Airlines joined in on the fare war, and is now sending travelers to Europe for as low as $414 roundtrip. The cheapest fare is from New York to London, but Miami to London is also offered for $442 roundtrip. Another discounted ticket is Chicago to Dublin for $516. Under the sale, tickets must be purchased by March 31 for travel that begins before April 12 and is completed by April 17.
All sample fares do not include taxes and fees.
