Hiccuping News Caster Anybody, even a newscaster, can get the hiccups at the most inopportune moment, as did Australia's Kate Wilson, when she was reading the news on a Melbourne radio station. At least it was at 3:00 am, so very few people heard it.

Or rather, very few people would have heard it if not for a sneaky co-worker, who gave the audio to their station's morning team, who replayed it over and over, then posted it online for the whole world to hear. The co-worker gets the stupid employee award for busting a colleague.

It seems Williams was hit by the hiccup attack just seconds before she was about to go on the air, and didn't have time to run to the kitchen to grab a glass of water, or do any of the breathing tricks people do to get rid of the nasty affliction. Since there was no one else around to read the news, Wilson boldly went forward, giving one of the most awkward, yet entertaining reports in Australian radio history, according to a report in the Sydney Morning Herald.

Without losing her composure, Wilson hiccuped her way through earnest reports on Muammar Gaddafi and the situation in Libya, along with the latest sports news and other items. Her report would have gone relatively unnoticed if she hadn't mentioned her malady to a colleague as she was on her way out the door after her 4 a.m. broadcast.

Wilson's stations's morning team had a field day with it, and once it hit the internet, it became viral. Most of the response, via twitter and email, has been positive, however, Wilson reports. And an otherwise obscure, early morning newscast did bring her her 15-minutes of international fame.

Enjoy the video, the hiccups start at around 3:23!
