Six Delta Air Lines (DAL) flight attendants have sued the carrier for distributing smaller profit-sharing paychecks to former Northwest Airlines employees than to other workers, the Associated Press reported Wednesday.

The flight attendants, who filed the discrimination claim in a Minneapolis federal court, had been members of unions that were eliminated after Delta and Northwest employees voted them down.

Delta acquired Northwest for $2.8 billion in 2008, creating the world's largest airline at the time. It became No. 2 after the United-Continental (UAL) merger last year.
