Rumor: Has Zynga increased FrontierVille's help timer?
Several FrontierVille forum users are reporting that when they help a friend out from the News Feed, the timer for which they can help that friend is set at two days and some hours. FrontierVille forum user Lily200489 posted this image of her experience using the feature. While it doesn't read more than two days, it is far longer than normal. Normally, the help response timer is set to 24 hours, meaning that Zynga could be working on increasing the timer. This could have been changed for several reasons, the most likely being to take stress off of its servers from processing so many help responses and requests. It could also be one big glitch.
My personal tests (above) brought back this interesting result: "06:36:45". This indicates that I can help my friend again in six hours and 30 minutes, which makes less sense than 19th century pioneers sending goods through the ether. The standard timer for a help friend, again, is 24 hours. This leads me to believe that either Zynga is working on a big change to the help request timer or the developer is trying to fix a glitch. Either way, help response timers are pretty screwy at the moment, but we're leaning towards "glitch" rather than "change."
