Internet viewers will once again be able to watch episodes of "The Daily Show," hosted by Jon Stewart, and "The Colbert Report," hosted by Stephen Colbert, on Hulu. The video site this week announced it had reached an agreement with Viacom (VIA) that will allow it to show the episodes starting the morning after their original TV airing.

The deal also allows Hulu to air shows from Viacom's MTV division, such as "Jersey Shore" and "Tosh.O," three weeks after their original air date.

The news comes 11 months after Viacom pulled Colbert's and Stewart's shows from Hulu after the two companies failed to reach a contract-extension agreement in early 2010. The rift highlighted the concerns that free Web broadcasts could eat into studios' and content providers' TV ratings.

On Thursday, Viacom posted fiscal second-quarter earnings that fell 12%, year over year, on lower home-video sales.
