Aca-awkward.

Rebel Wilson joined a list of A-list stars this week, but it wasn't for the box office success of "Pitch Perfect 2."

The actress was caught in the middle of a firestorm after an Australian tabloid published an article saying that she was not the 29-year-old raised in a "ghetto" like she claimed. Rather, an anonymous source told the magazine Wilson's actual named is Melanie Elizabeth Bownds, and she born in 1979.

Wilson dodged the claims by posting tongue-in-cheek tweets, but Sydney Morning Herald found business records that confirmed the actress was born on March 2, 1980, making her 35 years old.

Wilson has yet to respond to the confirmed news, but she should take heed of the fact she is not alone in this "embarrassing situation."

Check out the other stars that have been caught intentionally muddling their birth years.
