It only takes 52 seconds for an elevator to rise from the ground to the top of the tallest hotel in the world: the 118th floor of the Ritz-Carlton Hong Kong.

Still under construction, the hotel will occupy the top 16 floors of the International Commerce Centre, the tallest building in Japan and fourth tallest building in the world. As icing on the king-sized cake, the hotel will feature an infinity-edge pool and rooftop bar on the top floor.

Huffington Post writer Melanie Nayer toured the soon-to-be-opened hotel and shot video along the way. Although a little shaky at times, the video offers a behind-the-scenes glimpse into how the hotel is shaping up--and what the views of the harbor will look like from the top.

Take a peek into the Ritz-Carlton Hong Kong:

"This hotel is shaping up to be something stunning, and I'm not just talking about the views," says Nayer. Besides stunning views, the Ritz-Carlton Hong Kong will feature a spa with nine deluxe treatment rooms, six dining options and a grand ballroom that is sure to be the next hot spot for Hong Kong weddings.

All 312 guest rooms will be equipped with WiFi, iPod docking stations and flat screen TVs--but most important of all, will come with amazing views of the city and harbor.

"You don't have to leave your room to see Hong Kong," says Mark DeConis, the hotel's General Manager who leads the tour in the video.

If all goes as planned, the Ritz-Carlton Hong Kong should open its doors in March of next year. Rates start at $580 a night.
