U.K. Rules Google Street View Cars Broke the Law
The U.K. Information Commissioner's Office reversed an earlier ruling that no data breach had occurred. The office asked Google to delete the data "as soon as it is legally cleared to do so," BBC News said.
It has come to light that Google has also been collecting data that was sent via unsecured wi-fi networks. This data has included e-mails, passwords and even medical information.
Google said it was "profoundly sorry for mistakenly collecting payload data in the U.K."
Still, the search engine giant will not face any punishment from U.K. authorities.
