Pepsi scholarship can refresh your financial aid award
Pepsi Corporation has many divisions that offer scholarships to help students pay the high cost of higher education. These scholarships are different than the Pepsi Refresh Grants, which are awarded through a process of campaigning and voting. To win a Pepsi Scholarship, you make a traditional application and demonstrate both community involvement and financial need.
Pepsi's Quality, Trust & Growth Scholarship Program is worth up to $5,000. The scholarship is awarded by the Eastern Division of Quaker, Tropicana and Gatorade (QTG). Students must be full-time undergraduates with a minimum 3.0 grade point average and major in a business related field like economics, marketing, or communications. Sue Busse, a manager for the scholarship, says, "The scholarship opens mid-December and closes about mid-February." Ten scholarships are available to eligible students.
Different universities are eligible for the Quality, Trust, and Growth Pepsi Scholarship every year. The 2010 scholarship was available to students at Howard University, University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, Saint Joseph's University,Rutgers, and Penn State University. Busse says, "Students should check our website in December for this year's schools."
