Passenger's Demand for Upgrade Causes Plane to Return

A passenger demanding an upgrade for his son caused a LOT Polish Airlines flight bound for Chicago to return to Warsaw.

The incident started shortly after takeoff when a Polish man flying in business class demanded his son be upgraded from coach. Crew denied his request and a scuffle broke out, reports The Associated Press.

As a result of the incident, the crew became concerned for the security of other passengers, and the pilot decided to turn the plane around and return to Warsaw.

The rowdy passenger was arrested on arrival at the airport. Other passengers resumed their travel to Chicago.
