Drunk Delta Pilot Arrested in Amsterdam

Dutch police say they arrested an intoxicated pilot in his cockpit minutes before takeoff on a flight from Amsterdam to Newark Liberty International Airport.

ABC News is reporting the pilot worked for Delta, and that the carrier canceled Flight 35 saying it was concerned "a crew member appeared to be unfit for duty."

Dutch officials did not identify the pilot, but say he is a 52-year-old captain from Woodbury, New Jersey.

The pilot was arrested after police received an anonymous tip, and a breath test found he had an alcohol content of 0.023 percent, just above the legal limit in the Netherlands, the police say.

The pilot was fined about $900.
