Street Wire: S&P Upgrades B&N Stock to 'Hold'

A Standard & Poor analyst has upgraded Barnes & Noble (BKS) stock to "Hold" from "Sell."

In a note to clients, S&P analyst Michael Souers said the stock is fairly valued, despite dropping 25% over the past two months amid a number of industry-related challenges, including competitive pressure from Amazon (AMZN) and Wal-Mart (WMT) on pricing of both print and digital books.

B&N stock is down 1.17% to $16.96.
