Ritzy Broadmoor Resort Half Off for 72-Hour Sale
Colorado's ritzy Broadmoor is offering hotels at half off the rack rate, but the sale lasts for three days only.
Set on 3,000 acres at the foot of the Rocky Mountains, the Broadmoor is the longest consecutive winner of the prestigious AAA Five-Diamond and Forbes/Mobil Travel Guide Five Star awards.
Rates at the Broadmoor normally start at $300 a night during low season, but under the sale a room goes for $150 a night. Those looking to grab a luxury vacation on the cheap should book their vacation this Friday, Saturday or Sunday. Sale rates are subject to availability and good only for 2010.
"We will not make another offer this year. This is it," said spokeswoman Allison Scott to USA Today.
The hotel is also offering a "Springtime at the Broadmoor Getaway," that starts at $85 per person, per night based on double occupancy. As part of the packages, guests receive 50 percent off Cheyenne Mountain Zoo tickets, a complimentary Serenity Shower or Tub Soak with purchase of $100 in spa services, and a 15 percent discount on select retail purchases. Kids also eat free from the children's menu when accompanied by a paying adult, excluding brunch.
The Broadmoor features an award-winning spa, two swimming pools and a lap pool, three outdoor hot tubs, 54 holes of championship golf, six tennis courts and 24 specialty retail shops.
