Stocks set for lower start following global declines triggered by Shanghai selloff

U.S. stocks are poised for a lower start Wednesday morning after stock markets around the world fell, triggered by sharp declines in Chinese markets. Without much economic news on the docket today, investors' attention is also drawn to Hewlett-Packard (HPQ), which reported better-than-expected results late Tuesday.
