Arthur Bryant’s managed to roast the Chargers and St. Louis BBQ with one savage tweet

The Chargers made the wrong kind of history Saturday night in their 31-30 loss to the Jaguars in Jacksonville, Florida.

It wasn’t blowing a 27-point lead in the postseason; that was only the third largest deficit a team has coughed up in the playoffs. The Chargers, who had four interceptions and a fumble recovery, are the first team in NFL history to lose despite winning the turnover margin by five or more.

The Chargers were the butt of many jokes, including this one from former Chiefs tackle Mitchell Schwartz, who no doubt has read the seemingly annual predictions about LA winning the AFC West.

“Congrats Chargers! Hope you win next off-season too!!” Schwartz wrote.

Schwartz did later offer analysis on what could be ahead for the Chargers this offseason.

Not offering analysis was the Twitter account of Arthur Bryant’s barbecue.

Bryant’s simply poked fun at the Chargers,.

“The Chargers are the St Louis BBQ of football teams,” Bryant’s wrote, as it managed to roast the Chargers and barbecue on the east side of the state of Missouri.

Among the people who got a laugh out of that was comedian Kathleen Madigan, who grew up in St. Louis. After Bryant’s said it meant a lot that she liked the tweet, Madigan acknowledged that Bryant’s barbecue is better than any in her hometown.

“Haha kc...I luv ur downtown location more than my own front porch,” Madigan wrote. “The best. As a St Louis lady, I bow 2 the best even if it pains me. :)“
