1. See the ‘Water Dance’ exhibit

Explore Wisconsin’s waterways through an immersive visual experience!

Artwork from experienced outdoorspeople Bonnita Budysz and Robert Theaker will be on temporary display from Jan. 20 to Sept. 2 at the Wisconsin Maritime Museum, 75 Maritime Drive.

Forty select pieces will showcase water and harbor scenes in northeast Wisconsin.

2. Partake in Open Mic Night at Stage Door Pub

Grab the mic and show the world (or just Manitowoc) what you’ve got!

Recite a poem or try your hand at stand-up comedy at the Stage Door Pub’s Open Mic Night hosted by Bob and Don.

Sip some drinks and have a good time listening to the music and stand-up performers from 7 to 10 p.m. Jan. 20. Stage Door Pub is at 701 Franklin St.

3. Listen to Four Guyz in Dinner Jackets

Do you like doo-wop? Then, don’t miss “Wisconsin’s Premier Doo-Wop,” Four Guyz in Dinner Jackets.

This group has been harmonizing since 2003 and brings plenty of nostalgia with them in their new and energized show at the Capitol Civic Centre, 913 S. Eighth St., at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 20.

4. Believe in Magic with Glen Gerard

Be awed and inspired at the fantastic illusions of magician Glen Gerard!

He will be putting on a show that will dazzle all ages at the Manitowoc Public Library, 707 Quay St., from 6 to 7 p.m. Jan. 23.

5. Take in live music and nightlife

Order a cocktail — or mocktail, if you’re doing Dry January — and gather around for live music at several establishments this weekend.

Toxic Ruin is live for PetSkull Brewing’s Metal Night at 7 p.m. Jan. 17.

Jan. 19, Tapper Schoepp will be at Sabbatical Brewing Co., 835 S. 29th St., at 7 p.m., and Dave Steffen is live at Salute to Everyone, 1107 S. 10th St., at 7:30 p.m.

Then Jan. 20, Whiskey Ditch plays at The Wharf, 606 Quay St., at 7 p.m. and Al Klein plays at Salute at 7:30 p.m.
