The Federal Aviation Administration halted arriving flights to Dallas-Fort Worth Airport for a period Tuesday morning due to a tornado watch across North Texas. The tornado watch was in effect until 11 a.m., but the ground stop was lifted and conditions had returned to “normal” at DFW as of 9:30 a.m.

Arrival traffic experienced airborne delays averaging more than an hour during the stop. Inbound flights were held at their origin until 9 a.m. CST.

Departing flights could also be affected, the FAA advisory says.

As of 6 a.m. this morning, the Metroplex was projected to see 374 delays and 66 cancellations until 10 a.m across both Dallas-Fort Worth Airport and Dallas Love Field Airport, according to FlightView’s Misery Map.
