Arnold Schwarzenegger lands first Christmas movie role since Jingle All the Way
Arnold Schwarzenegger has landed a new role in a new Christmas movie, almost 30 years on from Jingle All the Way.
Deadline reports that Arnie will star alongside fellow huge human being Alan Ritchson in The Man with the Bag, a holiday comedy directed by Hairspray and Disenchanted's Adam Shankman and aiming to film this year.
"When Santa's magic bag is stolen, he turns to his naughty list to find Vance, a former thief, to help him get it back," reads the synopsis. "Along with his daughter, Santa, and a group of misfit elves, Vance will have to pull off the greatest heist of his life to save Christmas."

As mentioned above, Schwarzenegger hasn't appeared in a Christmas film since 1996, and he hasn't acted in a film since 2019's Terminator: Dark Fate. He did shoot the film Kung Fury 2 that year, but it has remained unreleased due to legal issues.
In terms of television, he was the subject of a three-part Netflix documentary series last year, and he also acted in the series FUBAR, his first TV acting project.
In Digital Spy's review of FUBAR, we said that the show "sees him get in choppers, get out of choppers and say the word "chopper" again and again, in many, many nods to his infamous Predator scene.

"Schwarzenegger ostensibly stars as CIA veteran Luke Brunner, but in reality plays a version of Arnie sprung from the popular conception of him... Billed as an action-comedy spy series, FUBAR sets up its CIA workplace comedy with gags that hit the humorous heights of a knock-knock joke."
While it may not have been the most critically acclaimed show out there, it did well enough for Netflix to greenlight a second series.
