Armie Hammer allegedly warned by Cayman Island authorities after ‘suggestive video’

Authorities in the Cayman Islands have closed an investigation being linked to a “suggestive video” posted by Armie Hammer.

The Royal Cayman Island Police Service took to Twitter just after 5 p.m. Wednesday to share a news update.

“On January 15, 2021, the RCIPS received an allegation of misuse of ICT in relation to a suggestive video which had been posted on social media,” the police service wrote.

“Officers investigated the matter and spoke to the suspect, who was warned about his conduct, in accordance with wishes of the complainant. The matter is now closed.”

Though the update never identifies the “Call Me By Your Name” star, 34, by name, Hammer has been making headlines recently, following allegations he sent texts expressing his desires to mutilate and sexually dominate.

The allegations were followed by the leak of a provocative video, from the “Social Network” actor’s private Instagram account, which showed a scantily clad lady and was captioned “Miss Cayman.”

“I would like to clarify that the person in my video, which was stolen from my private Instagram, is not Miss Cayman,” the actor said in a statement to the Cayman Compass of the clip, which did not show the woman’s face.

Hammer’s clarification came on the heels of the Miss Cayman Islands Universe Committee calling for him to refrain from referencing Miss Cayman on social media.

The group also reached out to local authorities concerning the post, in which Hammer said “f--king Miss Cayman again” was one of the “few silver linings” of returning to the Cayman Islands, where estranged wife Elizabeth Chambers and the former couple’s two young children are quarantining.

In Hammer’s statement, he noted he was “genuinely sorry for any confusion my foolish attempt at humor may have caused. My deep sympathies to Miss Cayman, who I don’t know, and to the entire organization, as I had no intentions of implying she was actually Miss Cayman.”
