Ariana Grande just hit the 2024 Met Gala red carpet in a Loewe dress that can best be described as “angelic.” The singer stepped out with her Wicked costar Cynthia Erivo for Fashion’s Big Night, arriving to the gala wearing a cream-colored ethereal gown by Loewe and feathery appliqués on her face. This is the first Met Gala in six years that Ariana has graced after a mini hiatus from the event. Last year, Ariana skipped the event because she and Cynthia were well into filming Wicked together.
“We are deep into production on Wicked and every day, we get more and more excited to share with u the mischief we’ve been up to,” director Joh M. Chu announced in a tweet that March.
Ariana is savoring every moment of the process, as she told fans on Instagram.
“Savoring every millisecond left with my Galinda (although she’ll be with me irrevocably, forever),” she wrote on IG. “She shows me so many new things every day. I am so grateful, I don’t know what to do or say…to be here in Oz where everyday is a life changing one…to be feeling, learning and growing so much at such a disarming speed…to feel so much love around me, to begin each day before the sun is up and to end after it sets...To hold my brilliant twin flame/sister Cynthia’s beautiful, green hands every day…to work in the safest, most beautiful and loving, biggest-yet-most-intimate/tiny-feeling spaces.”
