They also note that the couple worked out "everything" before heading to the courthouse, and that, per their sources, "Ariana will cut Dalton a check." The amount of said check hasn't been disclosed, but they *did* have a prenup.
A source tells TMZ that it took a while for the former couple to settle the terms of their split before filing for divorce, and notes that "they’ve been really caring and respectful of one another every step of this process."
News broke that Ari and Dalton had split back in July, after she was spotted at Wimbledon without her wedding ring. At the time, TMZ said that “We’re told a few months back, the two tried a reconciliation but it failed" and that “They remain friends and still talk on the phone regularly.”
Ariana is currently said to be dating her Wicked co-star Ethan Slater, who is going through a divorce of his own. They've kept their relationship extremely quiet thanks to timeline speculation, but in early September a source told People that they're still together. “While this entire situation has been blown out of proportion, it’s much different than what has been portrayed in public," the source said. "They are just trying to navigate their new relationship in private."
A close family friend also explained that “People have tried to question the timeline. The truth is, Ariana and Ethan didn’t begin seeing each other until after both parties were separated, respectfully."
