The Argus Leader's biggest holiday edition is serving even more this Thanksgiving

For years, our Thanksgiving edition has been the largest edition we produce each year, with enough stories and advertisements about holiday specials to check out between filling your plates and using the rest to wrap those last-minute holiday gifts around the corner.

This year, keeping in mind our busy readers elbow-deep in cooking grease or baking sweets for that craving after that tryptophan nap or those hitting the road for family gatherings, our biggest-of-the-year Thanksgiving holiday edition is in your hands on Wednesday.

The edition will hit your mailbox or you can find a copy at your local news stands.

And we can't wait to share with you what's inside this edition, including exclusive reporting found only in the Argus Leader:

  • That starts with the rollout of a new five-part series about how South Dakota is trying to address its ongoing teacher shortage, from the district to the state level.

  • We're also highlighting all the ways schools in the area are giving back to their communities in an annual roundup of efforts in Sioux Falls and surrounding districts.

  • And last, but certainly not least, some great ways you can keep the merriment going if you're not traveling this season with our guide to a holiday staycation in Sioux Falls.

Plus, you’ll find a 12-page bonus section with puzzles and games, including a two-page giant crossword, activities for kids, and stories on food and gift ideas.

Our Thursday edition on Thanksgiving day will be exclusively online in eEdition form. We'll then resume printed editions again Friday.

Thank you, readers, for all you do to make our continued investment in local journalism possible.

Happy Thanksgiving. May it be filled with love, warmth and kindness, surrounded by family and friends.
