A Cincinnati Fire Department public information officer (PIO) said it appears a construction crew hit a natural gas pipe while working.
“Natural gas odor to be expected during repair,” Cincinnati police explained. “If any questions contact Duke Energy, if an emergency, please call 911.”
The PIO with the fire department said the area will likely be closed until around 12 a.m. Friday.
