KNOX TRUSTEES – Knox Township Trustees will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at 2895 Knox School Road. Trustees convene at 6:45 p.m. to review bills.

CHURCH BREAKFAST – Damascus Methodist Church and Middle Sandy Presbyterian Church plan their monthly community breakfast from 7 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Damascus church, 300 Valley Road. The breakfast features all-you-can-eat, made-to-order pancakes, eggs, sausage, bacon, toast, juice and coffee. Cost is donation only. Proceeds will benefit the June 23-29 Summer Mission Trip to work with Jackson Area Ministries in Jackson, Ohio.

MARLINGTON MEETING – Marlington Local Schools Board of Education plans a regular meeting at 6 p.m. Thursday in the Marlington High School Digital Learning Zone, 10450 Moulin Ave. in Lexington Township. The board will recess into executive session for the purpose of conferences with the board's legal counsel concerning imminent court action and to discuss matters required to be kept confidential by state and federal law.Pending absence of technological issues, the meeting will be live-streamed at shorturl.at/sxHY5.

AHS 1956 – Alliance High School Class of 1956 will meet at 9 a.m. Tuesday at Don Panchos Tex Mex Cafe, 2105 W. State St. All classmates, spouses, friends are invited to attend.

MOUNT UNION CONCERT – University of Mount Union’s Department of Performing Arts plans its Spring Band Concert, featuring the Concert Band, at 7:30 p.m. April 24 in Brush Performance Hall in the Giese Center for the Performing Arts. The concert will feature works by Steve Parsons, Gary C. White, Charles Richard Spinney, Alan Silvestri, Andrew Lloyd Weber and John Williams. The concert is free and open to the public. MOUNT UNION THEATER – University of Mount Union’s Department of Performing Arts plans its “A Night of Theatre” from April 19-21 in the Gallaher Black Box Theatre in the Giese Center for the Performing Arts. The night will include a one-act play, “Killing Time,” along with a performance by the Mount Union improv troupe and senior Allie Darragh of Powell, will present her Senior Culminating Experience. “Killing Time” follows a successful CEO as he goes through his daily routine, until he gets to his usual lunchtime diner, and finds out that he is dead. The manager, host, waitress and server at the diner are angelic beings of sorts and to help him get a second chance at life. The cast includes Vienne Anderson of Copley; Tucker Gayhart of Massillon; Key Hackney of Cleveland; and Emma Welch of North Olmsted. Sally Renee Tausch of Salem will serve as director; Tori DeMeyer of West Union will be stage manager; Peyton Leinweber of Painesville is scenic designer; and Zach Barnett of West Union is lighting designer. The Mount Union Improv Troupe members include Gayhart; Brianna Haddon of North Jackson; Matthew Korver of Geneva; Seth Tackett of Rittman; and Eden Walker of Beloit. WOMEN’S GOLF – Tannenhauf Women’s Golf Association is welcoming new members to join a Thursday morning league with all ages and abilities. Players in groups of three have a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. in May, and 8 a.m. from June to September. League yearly fees are $25, which covers basic expenses. Opening day is May 2. PLANT SALE – Quail Hollow Herb Society plans its annual plant sale from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 4 and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 5 at the Quail Hollow Park Carriage House, next to the Manor House, at 13480 Congress Lake Ave. in Hartville.
