On Thursday night, Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian visited five-star quarterback Arch Manning to watch his high school football game. Fast forward to Saturday afternoon, Manning returned the favor.

Manning was in Austin, Texas on Saturday afternoon to catch Sarkisian and the Longhorns take on No. 12 Oklahoma State.

Texas is rumored to be high up on Manning’s recruitment list. The Longhorns aren’t alone, though. They’re reportedly competing with programs like Alabama, Georgia and Ole Miss.

The good news for Texas is it’ll have an opportunity to make its pitch to Manning this weekend. A win over No. 12 Oklahoma State would obviously help the cause.

Texas has plenty to offer Arch Manning.

Steve Sarkisian is one of the brightest offensive minds in college football. His quarterbacks typically put up massive numbers and position themselves well to take the next step to the NFL.

Texas, meanwhile, will soon see its days in the Big 12 come to an end. The Longhorns will transition to the SEC by the time Manning is a junior or redshirt sophomore. That means Manning would potentially get the opportunity to take on the schools his uncles, Peyton and Eli, attended.

Sarkisian and the Texas Longhorns can position themselves high up on Arch’s recruitment list with an impressive performance against the Oklahoma State Cowboys this afternoon. Will it be enough to eventually land Arch?
