Arc CEO Pietroski appointed to statewide disabilities board

Nov. 30—WATERTOWN — Lynn M. Pietroski, chief executive officer at The Arc Jefferson-St. Lawrence, has been appointed to the board of the New York State Industries for the Disabled Inc.

NYSID is a not-for-profit membership organization with a stated mission of "Advancing employment and other opportunities for individuals with disabilities and qualified veterans."

Through a statewide network of more than 130 nonprofit disability service provider agencies and private sector business partners, NYSID provides products and services to state and local governments and private sector financial, medical, non-profit, and other businesses.

Pietroski has been CEO of The Arc Jefferson-St. Lawrence in Watertown since January. She joined the agency as chief operating officer in 2015, following leadership roles at other Jefferson County nonprofits.

The Arc offers a variety of programs, including day services, clinical services, community arts, transportation, career solutions, Bridges and Bright Beginnings programs for children, residential services and self-direction.

Pietroski is actively engaged in the community and serves as a volunteer on several committees and boards, including the Heather A. Freeman Foundation which she helped found.

In 2021, Pietroski was the recipient of The Arc New York's "Marc N. Brandt Exceptional Leadership Award."

In 2018, she was honored as a "Woman of Distinction" by Sen. Patty Ritchie and received the "Jefferson County Community Services Award."
