Apple releases iPhone update, warns of possible security threat
Apple, warning of a possible security threat, released software updates for the iPhone and iPad on Tuesday.
“A remote attacker may be able to cause arbitrary code execution,” the tech giant said in a vague note published on its support website. “Apple is aware of a report that this issue may have been actively exploited.”
Apple declined to comment further on Wednesday. The support page notice promised that more details would be released soon.
The update is available for device generations beginning with the iPhone 6s, the iPad Air 2, the iPad mini 4 and the iPod touch, Apple said.
The update can be reached in the Settings section of iPhones under the General module.
