Appeal after shop worker robbed at knifepoint

Police have appealed for witnesses after a shop worker was threatened in a knifepoint robbery.

It happened at the shop in Aller Parade, Weston-super-Mare, at around 21:30 BST on 7 April, said Avon and Somerset Police.

The force said a man, armed with a large kitchen knife, made off with money and cigarettes.

He is described as about 5ft 10in tall, slim, white and with ginger stubble.

He was also said to be wearing gloves, a dark green balaclava and carrying a black duffle bag.

House-to-house inquiries have been carried out, along with a forensic examination of the scene.

Police have appealed for witnesses, as their investigations continue.

"If you were in the area at the time and saw what happened, or have dashcam or other footage, we’d like to hear from you," a force spokesperson said.
