Anya Taylor-Joy just took her daring red-carpet dressing to an entirely new level while promoting her upcoming sci-fi action film, Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga.

The Golden Globe winner seemed to be taking a cue from the Hellraiser films when she and stylist Ryan Hastings chose a pointy piece of headgear and a matching dress for the movie’s premiere today in Sydney, Australia. Both pieces were pulled straight from the Paco Rabanne Haute Couture Spring 1996 collection.

The statement-making vintage ensemble included a see-through minidress composed of copper triangles and silver discs, which enveloped Taylor-Joy’s body in a chain-link design. The same materials were repeated on the Emma star’s headpiece, which featured dozens of arrowlike shafts sticking out in a sunburst, certainly embodying the badass nature of her titular Furiosa character.

The arrow shafts continued around the star’s skirt (presumably making it quite difficult for her to sit down at the event). If you look closely, you can see they were all tipped with egg-shaped orbs—brown globules covered with tiny gemstones. For accessories, Taylor-Joy chose to go sans jewelry, and she wore a pair of clear strappy sandal heels, which allowed the focus to remain on her dress.

While Taylor-Joy did attend a Warner Bros. presentation for Furiosa back in April, this Australian stop marks the official beginning of the film’s press run, and we can’t wait to see what the leading lady pulls out for the rest of the tour. One thing seems to be clear: Anya’s going big (and potentially dangerous).
