The dress was “beautifully embroidered with our love story by @dior,” she wrote on Instagram.
“Two years ago, on April Fools, I secretly married my best friend in New Orleans,” Taylor-Joy shared. “The magic of that day is ingrained in every cell of my being, forever. Happy second ( first ) anniversary my love…you’re the coolest🫀 N.B yes, those are anatomically correct heart cakes. Yes, I am the vampire Lestat.”

McRae also shared different photos on his own Instagram. “I love you now and somehow I always have and somehow it will never end,” he wrote to Taylor-Joy. “Happy two year anniversary (yesterday), beautiful.”
Turns out, McRae and Taylor-Joy have been married for far longer than the public suspected. In October 2023, photos were released of a different celebration in Italy that media reported to be their wedding. Taylor-Joy appeared to be wearing the same wedding dress in the photos from their Italian event, and some outlets reported 150 guests attended the special weekend for the couple.
The couple has kept their relationship largely to themselves. They were first romantically linked in May 2021, and they got married a year later on April 1, 2022. Rumors of their wedding first surfaced in tabloids three months later in July.
