Anya Taylor-Joy Brings the Heat in Leather Hot Shorts and a See-Through Lacy Top

Is it getting hot in here, or is it just Anya Taylor-Joy? As the movie star continues the press tour of her latest movie, the Mad Max prequel Furiosa, she relied on a notoriously heated textile to support her costar in Los Angeles.
At Chris Hemsworth's ceremony to be inducted with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Thursday, Taylor-Joy wore an all-black ensemble composed of leather pieces. Leather isn’t usually the first material you might think of for summer, but with her fit, Taylor-Joy might just convince you otherwise.
The look included a baggy leather biker jacket—with a gleaming diamond brooch from Tiffany & Co. pinned to one wide lapel—and high rise leather hot shorts. She paired the pieces with a clingy see-through lace blouse with a mock turtleneck, plus transparent black tights and towering Christian Louboutin pumps. Accessories were kept to a minimum; besides her brooch, Taylor-Joy also sported white gold earrings from Tiffany & Co., plus black shades by Oliver Peoples.
Emulating the dystopian desert world in the Mad Max universe, Taylor-Joy has worn a number of edgy leather looks over the past few weeks.
On Wednesday, she stepped out in a blood-red minidress from Mugler’s Fall/Winter 2024 ready-to-wear runway. The piece featured a sculpted draping effect that clung to the silhouette of her body, as well as an eye-catching slit held together by thin black straps at the back.
And earlier this month, she wore yet another sculpted leather minidress, then a black zip-up piece with shoulder pads and a cinched waist from Acne Studios’ Fall/Winter 2024 collection.
