Antonio Brown settles with former trainer over sexual assault allegations

Free agent wide receiver Antonio Brown has reached a settlement with a trainer who accused him of sexual assault.

Britney Taylor sued Brown in 2019 in Florida, accusing him of sexually assaulting her three times, twice in 2017 and once in 2018, when she was his personal trainer. After the suit was filed, the New England Patriots released Brown.

After Taylor filed her suit, Brown countersued her, claiming the allegations were retaliation for Brown not investing in Taylor’s business.

“Their dispute is resolved and they wish each other great continued success,” attorneys representing Brown and Taylor said in a joint statement, according to NBC News.

A joint stipulation for dismissal of the suit was filed Wednesday in Broward County, Fla. The terms of the settlement were not released publicly.

Brown played several games for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2020, including the team’s Super Bowl victory. He is currently a free agent.
