Antiques Roadshow is coming to Iowa. Here's how to get your treasure evaluated

The PBS series Antiques Roadshow will visit Urbandale, Iowa this summer as part of a five-city tour for its 29th season.

Antiques Roadshow aims to capture tails of family heirlooms, flea market finds and items saved from attics or basements. The series will be in Urbandale on Monday, June 10.

Three episodes for each city filmed in 2024 will air on PBS in 2025.

How do I get into Antiques Roadshow in Urbandale?

Admission is free, but tickets are only available through winning the 2024 Antique Roadshow Sweepstakes.

Fans can enter for a chance to win one pair of tickets per household starting Monday, Jan. 29 at pbs.org/roadshowtickets. Deadline for entries is Monday, March 18 at 11:59 p.m. PDT.

A small number of free tickets will also be available to fans who enter on Instagram. Social media entries will be accepted beginning Jan. 29, with an entry deadline of Feb. 29 at 11:59 p.m. PST. Social media rules can be found online as well.

What can I bring with me to Antique Roadshow's Iowa stop?

Antique Roadshow said in a news release that at each appraisal event, guests will receive free verbal evaluations of their antiques, art and collectibles by experts from the country’s leading auction houses and independent dealers.

Each ticketed guest is invited to bring two items for appraisal. Items will not be pre-screened, but you will need to be able to carry or move it into the venue yourself.

  • Wednesday, May 1 — Las Vegas, NV

  • Tuesday, May 14 — Bentonville, AR

  • Wednesday, May 29 — Littleton, CO

  • Monday, June 10 — Urbandale, IA

  • Tuesday, June 18 — Baltimore, MD

The distinctive and historic venues for each event will be released closer to the beginning of the tour, according to a news release.

“I am thrilled for the show to visit Urbandale for the first time and can’t wait to see what local treasures await.” said executive producer Marsha Bemko, in a news release.
