Anthony Edwards disses Grizzlies' Ja Morant, other NBA stars' shoes in commercial

Which NBA player has the best signature shoe? Anthony Edwards has an idea.

A commercial for Edwards' AE1's shows the Timberwolves star comparing his shoes with those from other NBA players.

"No one touching the AE 1s," Edwards says, before picking pairs of other shoes out of a bag. Among the ones he picks up and casts aside are signature shoes from Grizzlies star Ja Morant, Mavericks star Luka Doncic and Lakers star LeBron James.

At the end, he picks the AE1s out.

"Oh yeah, these the ones," he says. "The color, the feel, the look, these the ones for sure."

Though Morant is suspended for the first 25 games of the season, he unveiled new Ja 1s at Wednesday morning's shootaround.

Morant wore a new pair of Ja 1s that were inspired by "Ja-Raffe." The "Ja-Raffe" Ja 1s are inspired by the baby giraffe that was given the Ja-Raffe name in November 2020.

The Grizzlies tip off their season against the Pelicans at FedExForum. The first meeting between the Grizzlies and Timberwolves is in Memphis on Nov. 26.
