Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania sets unwanted Marvel record
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania has set an unenviable record on review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes.
Premiered on February 17, the latest Scott Lang outing has matched Marvel's Eternals as the worst-rated MCU movies – both sitting at a critics' score of 47%.
While Chloé Zhao's film didn't quite wow viewers either (its audience score is 77%), the new Paul Rudd-starrer ranked slightly higher with audiences at 84%. These scores are likely to fluctuate as more cinemagoers get to watch Peyton Reed's film over the coming weeks.

Alongside Rudd and Evangeline Lilly reprising the titular roles of Ant-Man and Hope aka the Wasp, the film marks the debut of Supernatural's Kathryn Newton as Scott's daughter Cassie, a political activist who now rocks a similar suit to that of her father.
The film also sees the return of Michael Douglas and Michelle Pfeiffer as Hope's parents, Hank Pym and Janet van Dyne.
Penned by Jeff Loveness, this Quantum adventure serves as a vehicle for new MCU villain Kang the Conqueror (Jonathan Majors), first introduced at the end of Disney+ and Marvel series Loki – spoilers below if you haven't watched Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania yet.

The first film in Phase Five of the MCU sets up the return of Kang (or rather, multiple variants of the baddie), set to unleash his revenge on Earth-616 in upcoming chapters.
In a post-credits scene, a version of the villain named Victor Timely is spotted in the 1900s by Loki (Tom Hiddleston) and Mobius M Mobius (Owen Wilson), confirming Kang will have a prominent role in the series' second season, expected to be released later in the year.
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is in cinemas now.
