Another earthquake shakes New Jersey, this one a 2.9
A minor earthquake with a magnitude of 2.9 struck New Jersey early Friday morning, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.
The tremor, which occurred around 3:50 a.m., was centered approximately 3.7 miles west-southwest of Gladstone.
There have been no reports of damage from the latest quake.
This recent tremor follows a more significant 4.8 magnitude earthquake that hit Whitehouse Station last month, an event felt by more than 42 million people. Since the initial quake in April, New Jersey has experienced over 150 aftershocks.
State and local officials continue to monitor seismic activity in the region.
