Anne Hathaway's latest photo shoot has a lot going on — in the best way.

Her V Magazine spread is a play on "His and Hers," and the Idea of You star rocks a selection of androgynous looks, as well as a few feminine pieces to tell a fashion story of menswear and womenswear.

But we couldn't help but notice that the styling felt akin to Julie Andrews in Victor/Victoria, the 1982 movie (and later 1995 Broadway production). In the story, Andrews plays Victoria who disguises herself as a male female impersonator — and one of her costumes is a black tux, much like the Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda pieces Hathaway wears on the V Magazine cover.

Hathaway's hair is also slicked back in a style reminiscent of Andrews' short crop — both of which make them look androgynous. Hathaway's look is complete with stiletto heels.

She also wears a Schiaparelli look as part of the "His" collection of outfits. This one a white button-down shirt with structured shoulders and black trousers. Her hair is, again, slicked back in a mock cropped style.

Though the photo shoot appeared to be a fun nod to her Princess Diaries costar and a serious dose of high-fashion, Hathaway, 41, admitted in the interview that she doesn't necessarily consider herself a fashion girlie. “I view myself more as a guest," she said of the fashion world, nodding to the tireless work that goes into living inside of it.

“I think it’d be an insult to someone whose education revolved around it, whose life revolves around it, who has done a full fashion cycle in multiple cities as opposed to just, like, getting invited to a show and an after-party," she said. "I think there’s a degree of stamina and schlepping involved in being a proper fashion person. I’m very grateful to be a guest. I mean, I’ve studied it, but it’s informal. I’m aware of the history. I love fashion photography. And I’ve been welcomed for a long time and been shown great kindness and generosity by people whose lives it is. But I’m an actress first.”

For another cover, Hathaway also wore a look from the internet-breaking Maison Margiela show at Paris Fashion Week. She gushed of the "extraordinary" work in the show: "the way they combined dancers and models, the movement, it was so beautiful."
