Euphoria star Angus Cloud's new movie Your Lucky Day has debuted with a 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes.

The actor, best known for playing Fezco in the HBO teen drama, tragically passed away at the age of 25 last month.

It was confirmed shortly afterwards that he had finished filming three new movies before his untimely death, including Dan Brown's Your Lucky Day.

The first reviews for the film, which had its world premiere at Fantastic Fest on September 23, have now made their way to review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes, with its score currently sitting at an impressive 100% from six reviews.

Your Lucky Day sees a dispute over a winning lottery ticket turn into a deadly hostage situation at a convenience store on Christmas Eve.

Jessica Garza, The Boys' Elliot Knight, Jason O’Mara, Sterling Beaumon, Star Trek: Picard's Mousa Hussein Kraish and Spencer Garrett also star.

Here's what some of the critics have been saying:

IndieWire

"Cloud serves as a sort of doe-eyed, tough-talking therapist/priest to whom the other characters spill their traumas and insecurities. The dialogue is unsubtle and the circumstances implausible, and if anyone but Cloud was in his place it simply wouldn’t work.

"But the 25-year-old Euphoria actor has such a disarming presence that you actually can imagine people opening up to him, even though he was holding them at gunpoint an hour ago."

Bloody Disgusting

"Your Lucky Day approaches a well-worn concept with style and bold storytelling choices. There’s biting commentary found within its examination of how far people will go for financial security and wealth, particularly regarding those that are meant to keep law and order.

"The violence hits hard, and the thrills come fast and steady. Brown removes any sense of safety straight away by communicating that no one is safe here, ensuring this thriller delivers on tangible tension made even more breathless by how inherently relatable the premise and its characters are rendered."

Morbidly Beautiful

"It’s a twisty, thrilling, unbearably tense rollercoaster ride that’s difficult to predict and keeps you on the edge of your seat. For those who enjoy a bit more depth to their action-packed thrills, Brown’s compelling script offers plenty of that, too."

Cloud's other two upcoming movies are Freaky Tales and an untitled Universal Monsters movie.

Your Lucky Day will arrive in US cinemas on November 10. A UK release has yet to be announced.
