Angela Bassett Glitters in Sheer Gown During Rare Family Outing With 2 Kids

Angela Bassett made her latest red carpet appearance a full-on family affair!

The 65-year-old actress was the recipient of an Honor Oscar during the 14th Governors Awards on Tuesday, Jan. 9, where her husband and two children supported her.

Bassett posed for her red carpet photo-op alongside hubby Courtney B. Vance, 63, and their 17-year-old twins, Bronwyn and Slater, as the whole family of four smiled for the cameras on the special occasion.

The Black Panther star—who was being honored for her contribution to the film industry—demanded attention in a glimmering gown with a mermaid-style skirt made of tulle.

The body-hugging dress featured a slightly see-through quality, with a high neckline made of sheer mesh, while the entire garment was covered in sparkling sequins.

Her family made sure to keep Bassett as the star of the show, as her husband and kids each wore black for the occasion, a noticeable contrast to the actress' champagne-colored ensemble.

Bassett's honorary award on Tuesday evening came just days after she made an appearance at the 2024 Golden Globes, dropping jaws in a sophisticated black velvet gown. The off-the-shoulder dress, designed by Dolce & Gabbana, put Bassett's figure on display as the fitted garment perfectly wrapped around her curves.

She was among the presenters for the evening, getting on stage to announce the award for Da'Vine Joy Randolph, who won the category for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role in Any Motion Picture for her role in The Holdovers.

It's the same award Basset won and made history at the 2023 Golden Globes, becoming the first actor to win a Golden Globe for their role in a Marvel film following her performance in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
