Following the Kansas City Chiefs loss to the Los Angeles Chargers over the weekend, Chiefs head coach Andy Reid had a bit of a health scare. He left Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday in an ambulance and spent a brief amount of time in a local hospital.

Thankfully, Reid was released on Monday and is already back at Chiefs practice. To ease any lingering concerns, the 63-year-old said he was feeling “great” on Wednesday.

“I’m feeling great first of all,” Reid said, via Dave Skretta of the Associated Press. “It’s good to be back and just getting on with business as usual here.”

The Chiefs and Reid neglected to provide any further details on his condition or what symptoms he dealt with over the weekend. The head coach explained that he wanted to keep his health information private and thanked the doctors that treated him during his hospital stay.

“I’d probably just skip that. I’ll just leave it,” Reid said in response to a question about his health. “I’m not much for talking about all that stuff. I wish it had never happened. It did. I appreciate the doctors for taking care of me. They were phenomenal.”

The Chiefs will be happy to have Reid back at practice throughout the week after quite the scare this weekend. The organization will hope that the 63-year-old doesn’t have any similar situations with his health happen during the rest of the year.

Now that Reid is back with the team, the Chiefs can focus on cleaning up some of their early season play. Kansas City fell to 1-2 on the year with last Sunday’s loss to the Chargers, and if not for a second-half comeback in Week 1 against the Browns, could be 0-3.

The Chiefs have a strong opportunity to get a win in Week 4 against Reid’s old team, the Philadelphia Eagles.
