As Kate Middleton continues on her road to becoming the future queen Queen of Britain, royal experts are discovering that she'll make history when that day finally comes.

The Duchess of Cambridge is married to Prince William, who is currently second-in-line for the throne behind his father Prince Charles, so becoming queen could still be a long time in the future, to be sure. That being said, Middleton is certainly going to break tradition when she is finally crowned.

Kate Middleton will become the only female British monarch to have a degree when she becomes queen. She received a 2:1 (Upper Second-Class) MA (Hons) degree in the History of Art from the University of St. Andrews in 2005. She famously met William at St. Andrews, as well.

In other words, the Duchess of Cambridge will become the most highly-educated female monarch in British history. She'll reportedly go by Queen Catherine once that happens.

Middleton, who was also the oldest royal bride in British history when she married William in 2011 at the age of 29, has proven that she isn't afraid to put a modern twist on being a royal, much in the way that Williams' late mother, Princess Diana, did herself.

When Kate and William announced that they were expecting their third child together earlier this year, they became the first royal couple in Queen Elizabeth's immediate family to do so in almost 60 years.

Between their more relaxed parenting style, their moving away from London and William's decision to keep his day job, the royal couple has definitely not been afraid to ignore the royal rulebook. That being said, there are definitely a ton of other rules that Will and Kate have followed over the years.
