America Ferrera Spices Up Her Red Carpet Look With Playful Pom-Poms All Over Her Dress

This was no regular evening dress. For the 35th Producers Guild of America Awards on Sunday night, America Ferrera chose a gown from Patou’s Fall/Winter 2024 ready-to-wear collection, which featured playful pops of texture that added a lively element to the red-carpet look.
The black halter-style design featured a plunging neckline and a body-hugging silhouette, with a small slit at the very bottom of the skirt. Most notably, all across the dress, the fabric was adorned with tiny black tufts that looked like miniature cheerleading pom-poms, which shimmered as Ferrera moved across the red carpet at Hollywood’s Ray Dolby Ballroom. To add an extra bit of sparkle, the star accessorized with dangly earrings and rings from De Beers.
In addition to the eye-popping accoutrements, Ferrera added a small coquettish touch with a black satin bow barrette from Jennifer Behr, which she clipped to the top of her face-framing locks.
While this was a more subtle incorporation of the bow trend, Ferrera went big with her look for the People’s Choice Awards just last week, where she wore a color-block dress from Coach that featured a black spaghetti-strap top and a soft pink skirt, whose front was adorned with an oversize bow.
Black and pink have both been prevalent colors for the star throughout this award season, so we’ll be curious to see what Ferrera wears to the 96th Academy Awards on March 10, where she is nominated for Best Supporting Actress, for her performance in last summer’s blockbuster Barbie.
