‘This is my America’ — Angry Florida doctor accused of attacking Hispanic man, vandalizing his car

A fervent supporter of former President Donald Trump has been charged with a hate crime after police said she attacked a Hispanic man outside a Florida supermarket and vowed “to get rid of every single one of you.”

Dr. Jennifer Wright, 58, was arrested Friday after a month-long investigation into the incident in the Miami suburb of Hialeah. The woman launched the racist attack after the victim asked her to follow social distancing rules inside a local Publix store on Jan. 20, the day President Biden was inaugurated, according to a police report obtained by the Miami Herald.

The man initially asked her in Spanish, but his request was ignored. He then repeated it in English as the woman began “mumbling bad words,” police wrote in the report.

Wright, an anesthesiologist at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, later followed the victim in the parking lot, confronted him and called him a series of racial slurs, authorities said.

“We should have gotten rid of you when we could,” the enraged suspect allegedly yelled.

She is also accused of saying, “This is not going to be Biden’s America. This is my America,” and, “We should have burned it all.”

Wright then proceeded to “stab the victim’s vehicle with her keys while saying he needed to go back to his country,” according to the report reviewed by the Herald. She also punched and kicked the man as he tried to call 911, police said.

The angry doctor was charged with criminal mischief, tampering with a victim and battery with prejudice, which is a “hate crime” felony. She was later released on bond, jail records show.

Wright’s social media history suggests she’s a loyal Trump supporter who often shares conspiracy theories on Facebook.
