Children allegedly abducted from Midlothian, 12, and 7 months, found safe in Missouri

An Amber Alert issued Friday afternoon for two Ellis County children was cancelled that evening after the two children were found safe in Missouri.

Twelve-year-old Jada Welch and 7-month-old Tristan Welch were reportedly last seen around noon in the 1000 block of McAda Drive in Midlothian on Oct. 5, according to the alert.

The Ellis County Sheriff’s Office said the two children were taken by 43-year-old Scott Welch and 35-year-old Alethia Tyson. According to a press release by the Ellis County Sheriff’s Office, officials believed the children were in grave or immediate danger.

The children were found with the help of the Joplin, Missouri, police and the Jasper County, Missouri, Sheriff’s Office.
