Missing 11-year-old Texas girl abducted near Houston found alive after Amber Alert

An Amber Alert was issued Friday for an 11-year-old Missouri City girl who authorities said they believed was abducted, according to a report by the Texas Department of Public Safety.

Authorities found the child alive Friday night in Houston, according to the FBI.

“She was recovered at approximately 9:30 p.m. in southeast Houston,” the FBI tweeted, adding that “no additional information will be released at this time.”

DPS officials identified the girl as Imani Stephens, who had last been seen about 1:45 a.m. Friday in the 3700 block of Dry Creek Drive in Missouri City. The city is about 20 miles southwest of Houston.

During the search, the Department of Public Safety released photos of two men with the same name but later withdrew them, saying the information was incorrect and both men had been ruled out as suspects.
