Amanda Kloots is letting her wedding ring evolve with her life.

The Talk host, 42, revealed on her Instagram on Wednesday that she decided to repurpose her wedding ring — given to her by her late husband Nick Cordero — that would honor his memory, but still be something she could use “every day.”

“I have not worn my wedding ring now for a couple of years and it was honestly making me so sad to see it in my jewelry box just collecting dust and not being worn,” Kloots said in an Instagram video. “But also I didn’t know what to do with it and it didn’t feel right to wear, especially because it didn’t fit any of my other fingers.”

Kloots shared that she contacted the designer of the ring, Stephanie Gottlieb to see if there was any way to repurpose the heart-shaped diamond stone to create a new ring that was more “casual” and that she could “wear every day,” but that still “paid homage” to the old one.

“It took a long time,” she admitted. “We went back and forth. I almost backed out a couple of times because it was making me so nervous to make this big change on this piece of jewelry that I loved so much, but we finally came up with a design.”

The author and TV personality shared a look at the new ring, which showed the heart-shaped diamond embedded into a golden heart, which she said symbolizes “that his heart will always be in mine.” But there was another meaning as well.

"It kind of symbolizes where I am now in my life and this chapter in my life,” Kloots shared. She concluded the video by encouraging others with similar stories to see if they could do the same and "allow your heart to change."

She echoed the sentiments in the caption of the video, writing, “Allowing my heart to change! The healing process is an ongoing journey with my stepping stones along the way. I waited awhile to do this one because I was so unsure about changing something so special.”

She explained that finding a new design that “fit my life now” was “tough” and said she had been “super picky” and “very nervous” to make the change to the ring, but in the end, she was happy with how it turned out.

"I'm extremely picky," she added "I always have been. I know it sounds silly, but I just hope that they naturally walk into my life. I'm not putting any pressure on it… I'm just wanting a really good person in my life."

However, her son Elvis will always be number one in her books. "I've been very focused on Elvis and our relationship and work, which has been actually wonderful and very fulfilling."
