Alumni nominations sought for OSU Marion Hall of Fame; deadline is June 7

The Office of Development and Community Relations at The Ohio State University at Marion is accepting nominations for induction into the Ohio State Marion Alumni Hall of Fame.

The program honors alumni who have contributed significantly to their professions and/or communities. Previous inductees from the Marion campus include Carol Bowman, Dr. Heidi Ries, Larry Kline, Gary Sims, Dr. Russell H. Tuttle, Dr. Andrew M. Vick, Dr. Deirdre Radosevich and Roger George.

Alumni may be nominated posthumously, and individuals may nominate multiple alumni. Submit one nomination form for each person. Nominations will be accepted through June 7 on an online form at osumarion.osu.edu.

The criteria for election to the Alumni Hall of Fame are:

  • Nominee must have completed a minimum of two semesters or three quarters of full-time study at Ohio State Marion.

  • Nominee must have attended The Ohio State University at Marion 15 or more years ago.

  • Nominee should be an advocate for the university and achieved distinction in their field and/or for making a difference in the lives of others through outstanding professional, personal or community contributions.

The selection committee will decide on a pool of final candidates, and nominees or their representatives will be asked to submit a statement and contact information for two references who can speak to the above criteria.

The winner will be announced in September, and the award will be presented at an Alumni Awards Reception in the fall at Ohio State Marion. The names of people nominated, but not selected, will be kept on file for a minimum of three years. Nominators may update the file annually if they desire.
