Derek and Shelisa Williams perform a Detour on 'The Amazing Race 36'
The Amazing Race 36 touched down in Argentina for a marathon "Megaleg" day. With double the Detours and double the Roadblocks, many of the teams decided to rely on each other to simply survive. Unfortunately, that meant that when one team struck out on their own, it left them in the dust, as they spent the rest of the day navigating rally car drivers, soccer players, and butchers just to make it through.

Derek Williams and Shelisa Williams – Married
Though the oldest cumulative team on the race, married couple Derek and Shelisa Williams also had the longest-lasting relationship. And that bore out when the finished in the top three the first three legs. Unfortunately, it was then when the high-speed chase of the former police officers slowed down, as they had made a series of mistakes that sent them to the back of the pack. The two started the Megaleg on the wrong foot, as their choice to switch Detours and Derek's struggle in the first Roadblock put them far behind. As much as they tried to catch up with the second set of tasks, it was too deep of a hole to climb out of, ending their time on the race.
Which teams finished at the top tonight?
Juan Villa and Shane Bilek called themselves a "first-place team," and they finally have the title to match that. It was a great day for the military pilots, who surged into the lead with Juan's excellent sense of direction and never looked back. They were followed by Ricky Rotandi and César Aldrete, who fell to second after finishing in first the past three legs.
Which teams finished at the bottom tonight?
Despite there being a lot of separation with the top and bottom teams, there was plenty of shakeup in the middle throughout the Megaleg. Despite a coalition of three teams forming to work together throughout the leg, dating couple Yvonne Chavez and Melissa Main and best friends Sunny Pulver and Bizzy Smith had gotten ahead of them going into the last Detour. Taking a page out of their competitors' books, the two teams decided to work together to maintain their lead. Unfortunately, temporarily vacating their limited stations caused the alliance to box them out. They surged ahead once more, leaving Yvonne and Melissa and Sunny and Bizzy to finish in sixth and seventh, respectively.
