Alliance Symphony sets spring concert for April
Alliance Symphony Orchestra plans its spring concert for April at University of Mount Union.
The concert will be 3 p.m. April 14 in the Brush Performance Hall of the Giese Center for the Performing Arts.
Conducted by Eric Benjamin, a music faculty member at Mount Union, the concert will feature two student soloists who were selected during Mount Union’s Solo con tutti competition earlier this academic year.
First-place winner Matthew Eversdyke, a music education major from Alliance, will sing “Madamina, il catalogo e questo” from Mozart’s “Don Giovanni.” Schuyler Hollenbach, a Perrysburg music and theater double major and the runner-up in the competition, will sing “The Hours Creep on Apace” from Arthur Sullivan’s “H.M.S. Pinafore.”
The program also will feature the Mount Union Alliance Chorale performing Schubert’s G Major Mass and “Hope is the Thing with Feathers” by Eric Benjamin.
Tickets are $15 for adults, $12 for seniors and veterans, and free for all students. Student and child tickets must be ordered by phone or in person. Tickets are available at mountunion.edu/boxoffice or through the Mount Union Box Office, at 330-821-2565.
